COOPERS EDGE SCHOOL PTA

The Coopers Edge PTA have been able to make some big differences to our wonderful school over recent years. The purpose of the PTA is to provide the extra experiences that don’t fall under the school remit or budget. We have been able to spend £2500 on a library revamp, £500 on a new reception outdoor playhouse, paying for a Pantomime company to visit (2020 this was online) and most recently spending £4000 on new playground markings. There are more contributions but the list is too long!

 

You automatically become a member of the PTA when you have a child start the school, but how involved you choose to become is entirely up to you!

 

The committee is currently made up of 4 key members, all of whom have children attending Coopers Edge. The co-chairs; Karen Knowlton and Leigh Gorick, treasurer; Hollie Lucas and secretary; Gina Moody. We have volunteers that help out at our events and are always happy to have extra ideas and pairs of hands. Keep an eye on our Facebook page when events are planned.

 

Prior to Covid we ran lots of events throughout the school year. These range from discos, film nights, cake sales, Christmas Elfridges gift shop and of course the huge Summer Fete. We are looking forward to running these again and will share details using social media and School Ping when they happen.

 

You can support your school PTA by purchasing a Your School Lottery ticket (www.yourschoollottery.co.uk) and search for Coopers Edge. Prizes are won every Saturday and it makes a big difference to the fundraising totals!
