From September 2017, children in reception class and school years 1, 2, 3 and 4 will be offered a flu vaccination at schools in Gloucestershire.

Letter from the Head Teacher

Thank you for taking the time to view our website. The staff, governors and I would like to offer a warm welcome to Coopers Edge School.

At Coopers Edge School we have high expectations of and for our pupils and support them to achieve their potential. Our focus on Growth Mindset supports pupils' development of self-motivation to improve and our parental engagement work ensures opportunities are not missed to support learning beyond the classrooms.

We believe, however, that there is more to ‘education’ than simply academic results, extremely important though they are.

We educate our pupils by creating a stimulating environment and providing the very best learning opportunities in and out of the classroom. We cater for all abilities, no matter what their needs, and seek to help and support each child to achieve his or her maximum potential in all areas.

One of the most important factors in children achieving their very best is the relationship developed between home and school. With your support, cooperation and high expectations of your own child, we can provide the best quality education, embedding learning skills that will stay with your child for the rest of their lives; ensuring they achieve their true potential in every aspect of their life both now and into their future.

Admission Arrangements Consultation 2018

As a Trust School Coopers Edge School is its own admission authority and is therefore responsible for determining our admission policy for pupils’ entry to the school.

Every 7 years the school must complete a full consultation ensuring that all interested parties have the opportunity to feedback any issues or concerns regarding the admissions arrangements to the Governing Body.

Before the Admissions Policy for 2018/19 can be ratified by the Governing Body, the policy must undergo a full consultation process. The process will be undertaken by Gloucestershire County Council.

If you would like to comment on the proposed Admissions Policy for 2018/19, which can be found
here. Please send your comments to:

Or email

The Consultation will run from 1st November to 31st December, after which time the comments will be reviewed and considered by the Governing Body.
